Weight loss is not easy!

Weight loss is definitely not easy - but I'm not ready to give up just yet. Since my last post I've reached my heaviest yet which was 14 stone 12 lbs on 8th February 2015. On a happier note I've greatly reduced the amount of bread that I'm eating.During February I commenced the 5:2 diet and with a few ups and downs managed to lose an initial 4 lbs.

Since then my daughter got me a FitBit for my birthday this April and I've started to see some more progress, losing another 2 lbs this week alone and clocking up between 10,000 and 20,000 steps each day. Now weighing in at 14 lbs and 6 lbs. I'm using the Fitbit every day to track what I eat and the amount of calories burned, and it has estimated that over the next year, losing at a rate of 1.5 lbs on average a week I'll lose my excess weight of 84 lbs. Feelin' optimistic :)

Hi folks. Its long overdue for an up date on the progress of my weight loss - I've been really busy this last month so haven't been able to check in as much as I'd like to. Not that I have much to report - to date my weight loss has been nil. I had thought that the big incentive would be in setting up this blog , but it seems not ;) Things I'm going to continue with over the coming month is to keep water intake up and aim to achieve the recommended eight glasses a day. I'm attempting to cut out bread and have had none today. To keep track on these two areas as well as any exercise I'm getting I think its time to keep a daily diary.

Day Two - Started the day off with a bowl of porage and a sprinkle of chia seeds. Need to cut down on the bread which is my favorite go to ( grab)  food. Also weighed myself on my daughters scales that analyse body fat and water percentages - apparantly I'm 47% fat (no surprise there) and only 31% water meaning I'm seriously dehydrated. I'd  thought I'd been drinking enough water to keep a camel happy but seems not.

Day One- 20th June 2014. Starting Weight 14 stone 3 lbs. Need to get some exercise in so why not take advantage of this beautiful Scottish sunshine and kick start my weight loss with a two mile walk. Haven't set a target weight yet but would definately be happy to start losing about 2-3lb a week. Lets see how this goes folks :)
